What we do

Servicing and aftercare

Annual service, remote monitoring, and a number that a person answers.

We monitor the systems we install, so in most cases we know something has drifted before you do. The annual service keeps the manufacturer warranty intact, which on most units runs to seven years.

A call, not a visit

Fifteen minutes on the phone tells us whether this is worth either of our time. Roughly a third of these calls end with us saying not yet, and that is a fine outcome.

The survey

Two to three hours in the house. Every room measured, every radiator recorded, the fabric assessed. You get the heat loss calculation itself, not a summary of it.

The quote

One price, itemised, with the grant already deducted. If radiators need changing they are on the quote as a line, never a surprise after the units arrive.

The install

Three to five days for a typical house. The old system stays live until the new one is commissioned, so you are never without heating overnight.

Commissioning and handover

Flow temperature set against the actual calculation, controls explained once properly, and the paperwork for the grant filed by us.

Asked often

Will it work in an old house?
Usually, and the honest answer is that it depends on the fabric rather than the age. A solid-wall Victorian house with the original windows needs either a larger emitter surface or some insulation work before a heat pump makes sense. That is what the heat loss calculation is for, and it is why we do it before quoting rather than after.
Will my bills actually go down?
On a well-sized system replacing a gas boiler, most households land somewhere between a small saving and a small increase, and the real gain is that you also drop the gas standing charge. Replacing oil or LPG, the saving is usually substantial. Anyone promising you a guaranteed halving of your bill is quoting a brochure, not your house.
How loud is it?
A correctly sited unit is about as loud as a fridge from a few metres away, and quieter at night because it modulates down. Siting is the variable that matters, which is why we discuss it on the survey rather than in the quote.
Do I have to change all my radiators?
No, and you should be suspicious of anyone who tells you either that you must or that you never will. On a typical install we change between two and five. The calculation names which ones.

Air source heat pumps

The main job. Survey, heat loss calculation, radiator sizing, install, commissioning.

Solar and battery

Panels sized around the heat pump rather than sold separately from it, because a heat pump turns your heating bill into the bill solar reduces.

Radiators and pipework

The part that decides whether the finished system is quiet, cheap to run and actually warm, and the part most quotes leave vague until it is too late.
